GKids Camp 2025
GKids Summer Camp Recap: Space Wars — A True Hope
We wrapped up one of our most incredible GKids Camps yet — Space Wars: A True Hope — and it was truly out of this world!
From June 2–6, over 200 kids entered a galaxy not so far, far away to experience a week full of worship, teaching, fun, and unforgettable moments centered around the power of the Holy Spirit. Our goal was simple: create a space where kids could grow in faith, build friendships, and discover that Jesus gives us a hope that changes everything.
And wow—God moved in powerful ways.
What We Taught
Each day, kids learned a key truth about the Holy Spirit through large group sessions, small group discussions, hands-on activities, and Bible-based curriculum that helped bring the gospel to life. Here were our bottom lines for the week:
Set Design & Environment
To fully immerse kids in the Space Wars experience, we transformed our church lobby into the planet Endor — complete with trees, greenery, galactic props, and glowing lights to capture the look and feel of a forest moon in a far-off galaxy. From the moment campers walked in, they were transported into the world of our theme.
Inside our large group space, we built a spaceship-inspired stage with starry backdrops, hanging planets, and LED lighting to bring the entire atmosphere to life. Every detail was intentional — designed to spark imagination, support our teaching moments, and make kids feel like they were part of something bigger than themselves.
If your church is dreaming of doing something similar, we’d love to share photos, materials used, and our design plans to help you bring this vision to life in your own space.

Our Curriculum
We created a fully original 5-day curriculum centered on the Holy Spirit, designed to be clear, engaging, and theologically sound for Kindergarten–5th Grade students. The curriculum includes:
Large Group Script & Skits
- Small Group Questions & Leader Guides
- Worship and Video Cues
- Elective Integration
- Object Lessons & Prayer Focuses
- Family Discussion Guides for at-home use
If you’re a church looking to use this camp as a model, we’d love to equip you with the full curriculum and resource package so you can bring “Space Wars: A True Hope” to life in your own context.
A Week to Remember
Kids were split into small groups by age and elective choice, with 10–12 kids per group led by incredible adult and teen volunteers. They participated in fun electives like creative arts, science experiments, music, and team games — all while learning more about God’s Word and how the Holy Spirit is active in their lives.
Parents told us their kids came home excited to read their Bibles, pray more boldly, and talk about Jesus — and that’s why we do what we do.
? Keeping the Church Engaged All Week Long
One of our goals was not just to host a great camp — but to keep our entire church community engaged and excited all week long.
In the weeks leading up to camp, we created a strategic communications plan that included pre-scheduled Reels, daily social media posts, behind-the-scenes content, and video highlights to give families and church members a real-time look into what God was doing at GKids Camp.
To make it happen, we planned ahead with a detailed shot list that outlined the key moments we wanted to capture each day — from worship and teaching to electives, small groups, and camper reactions. We also recruited and scheduled volunteers specifically for:
Photography – capturing high-quality images for daily use and post-event recaps
Videography – filming highlight reels, interviews, and social content
Social Media – managing story posts, writing captions, and posting in real time
This level of planning allowed us to stay focused throughout the week while still being flexible enough to capture spontaneous, meaningful moments. The result was a steady stream of engaging content that kept parents, volunteers, and our entire church connected to the story of camp — whether they were on campus or not.
It helped us not only tell the story of GKids Camp well, but also celebrate what God was doing in a way that extended far beyond the walls of our church.
