There's nothing more enthralling than a story! Enthralling – that's a
word we don't use all the time, but we know the meaning of it. Better
than knowing the meaning, we feel it, and the number one place we find
ourselves fascinated with the power of story is in the movies. Our
annual 'At The Movies' teaching series this year will have a sports
theme. Even for people who don't like sports, we can all relate to the
stories of overcoming, grit, forgiveness, teamwork, hardship,
and impossible odds. (I can hear the anthemic music of a Rocky fight scene
in my head, even now). This is going to be a great summer season with
clips from some movies you may (or may not) know based around sports.
Our Sr. Pastor, Johnny Scott, will be teaching from some pretty cool
local sport locations between riveting movie clips. The 'At The
Movies' summer series is a great time to invite friends! No matter
what season of life you are in, we are ready to help you take your
next step. This is your time!
